Windsurf / Devin Desktop
Devin agent and Devin CLI (Devin Desktop, formerly Windsurf): add Glesso under mcpServers in ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json (.devin/mcp_config.json for one project) and save:
{ "mcpServers": { "glesso": { "url": "https://mcp.glesso.com/mcp" } } }Or skip the file and let the Devin CLI write the entry:
devin mcp add glesso https://mcp.glesso.com/mcpSign in from a terminal. Your browser opens Glesso: check the account and click Allow.
devin mcp login glessoLegacy Cascade agent: open the Cascade panel's actions menu, choose Open MCP config file (the same file, or ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json in older Windsurf), add the same entry, refresh the MCP servers in Cascade and sign in when asked. Your browser opens Glesso: check the account and click Allow. Cascade also accepts url. Older versions need serverUrl instead.
Good to know
- These apps limit how many tools they load. Turn on fewer services, or wait for per-client tool selection.
- Cascade loads at most 100 tools in total.
- To stay under it, list the tools you don't need under disabledTools in the glesso entry.
If it doesn't work
- Sign-in fails with invalid_client? Remove the server from the app and add it again.
New to Glesso?
Create an account and connect a service first. Onboarding then shows this guide beside a live check that turns green at your app's first tool call.
